Having Royal Tea with a Well Known Princess!

Okay so I didn't really have tea with a princess, however, I wanted to share my big mug with Disney's "Cinderella" on it that I got from a store in the city I live in called, "Tuesday Morning."  This is now my favorite tea mug. :-)  And you could say that Cinderella has tea with me from time to time!  She's very pleasant company....hehe

Disney Princess Xmas Ornaments!

So I was at Walmart a few weeks ago and saw they had some Disney Princess sparkly ornaments.  I knew I had to have the 4 princesses I saw- Belle (Beauty & the Beast), Princess Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty, Ariel from the Little Mermaid, and Cinderella. :-)

A little disappointed I didn't see a Snow White one but the search isn't over!

So far I bought Ariel and Cinderella.  Now I have to buy the others before Christmas is over....

Here's a pic of each ornament I have so far~~

My Favorite Disney Princesses~

I remember as a child loving the Disney film, "Sleeping Beauty".  Now in my early thirties I still love the beloved tale of the cursed sleeping princess who is awakened by true love's kiss.  I'm a sap for all the romantic fairy tales!  So I would have to say Briar Rose/Princess Aurora is my all time favorite princess.

Then I would say that Belle from the film, "Beauty and the Beast" is my second favorite.  She is smart and a book nerd just like me!  I love how she is able to look past the Beast's outer appearance and ends his curse, becoming once again the handsome prince that he used to be.

After that I say Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" hands down!  First of all, the songs from the film are timeless and I remember discovering my talent for singing when I was 9 years old.  I was in my room singing along to my cassette tape of the soundtrack and my mom was listening outside my door.  She mentioned to me later on that she couldn't tell if it was Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel) or me singing.  I have never forgotten that....

Next would have to be Snow White.  She is sweet natured, beautiful, and all the animals of the forest love her...lol  How can you not love Snow?!  Skin as white as snow, lips red as the rose, and hair as black as ebony. Throw in an evil stepmother, 7 dwarfs, a rustic cottage in the middle of the enchanted woods, and a handsome, dashing prince.  Perfect, timeless fairy tale!  And is it just me, but when I hear the song "Hi Ho Hi Ho It's Off to Work We Go", I end up humming that for the next few hours- it's maddening!  ;-)

I would end with Cinderella.  How can you not love Cinderella's story.  Treated as a servant girl by her stepmother and stepsisters and then finally winning her prince at the end and finding happiness.  I love this story.  I love it because you really believe that dreams come true as sappy as it sounds.

I must admit, I have not seen the Frog Princess, Rapunzel, Brave, or any of the newer Disney princess films. I guess I'm stuck back in the olden days.  I automatically radiate to the films I grew up with when I was a child and know that I will always hold those stories closer to my heart.  Disney is magical and I still love these movies.  It gives a child (and adult) a chance to dream, to wish upon a star, to get swept away into a magical, mystical story for a couple hours.  The reprieve is nice I must admit.  After the hustle and bustle of daily life it is refreshing to get lost in an enchanted tale every now and then.

This begs the question now, who is YOUR favorite Disney princess?
